2010 looks to be a very busy year. My new novel, 'Swedish for Beginners', will be available in paperback in late May, although the official publication date is not until early September. It's possible to pre-order it already at http://www.troubador.co.uk/book_info.asp?bookid=1174  and it will also be on both the Amazon.co.uk site as well as Amazon.com and Barnes&Noble in America. The e-book version is already selling well and received some fantastic reviews on Amazon Kindle and I'm hoping the paperback edition will do even better.

I have been asked to give a number of book talks, one of them for 'Inner Wheel', the ladie's section of Rotary Club in Dublin on the 6th of April.

I'll be going to Wexford to speak at an event in aid of 'Independent Age' an organisation that helps the elderly in late September-early October, date and venue yet to be decided. I will announce the details as soon as I have them, as everyone is welcome to attend.

I hope to do a few more talks and readings in local libraries throughout Ireland during the year. Please send me an e-mail of you would like me to visit your group or book club.

2008 was a very exciting year. My novel, 'Finding Margo' has been selling steadily through the past year and I am still being asked to do book talks which I enjoy enormously.

I spoke to the Women's International Club in Dublin in January, a very well attended and enjoyable event.

The Swedish embassy hosted an evening around my writing on March 4. It was organised by SWEA, (the Swedish Women's Educational Association), who have a branch in Ireland (www.chapters-swea.org/irland).

I spoke in Swedish this time and all invited were fellow Swedes. It was a fantastic evening. I was so pleased to meet so many of my countrywomen and was touched by their enthusiasm and support. The food and wine were superb and a good time was had by all (especially me).  Tack SWEA och Svenska Ambassaden!

I have recently signed with a new literary agent, Bill Jeffrey (
Bill.jeffrey@hotmail.co.uk) and we are looking forward to a happy and successful partnership.

I have recently finished my latest project: 'A Woman's Place', a family saga based on the lives of two women in my family, set in Stockholm and New York in 1900 through to the 1930's. I really enjoy writing historical fiction and I have a feeling it will be the start of a new era in my writing career. It is now being considered by a number of publishers.

I took part in The Ryan Tubridy show on March 4, 2009, which was very enjoyable.
